MEIC team developed China’s Cement Emission Database (CCED) to help low-carbon transformation and air pollution reductions
From 1990 to 2015, accompanied by a 10.3-fold increase in cement production, CO2, SO2, and NOx emissions from China’s cement industry increased by 627%, 56%, and 659%, whereas CO, PM2.5 and PM10 emissions decreased by 9%, 63%, and 59%, respectively.

TrackATruck heavy-duty truck emission inventory database is available now! We provide 0.01°×0.01° emissions data of NOx, PM2.5, PM10, TSP, HC, CO, and CO2 from the Jing-Jin-Ji region.
SEIM global shipping emission inventory database is available now! The SEIM databse was developed on the base of the AIS data. We provide the global shipping emissions of SO2, NOx, HC, PM2.5, CO, and CO2 at the resolution of 0.5°×0.5° for the year of 2017.
The new MEIC website has optimized the organizational structure and content layout, aiming to provide comprehensive and convenient data products and services to the scientific community.
The MEIC team integrated satellite observations and bottom-up inventories to estimate China’s CO2 emissions during COVID-19
Between January and April 2020, China’s CO2 emissions fell by 11.5% compared to the same period in 2019, but emissions have since rebounded to pre-pandemic levels owing to the fast economic recovery in industrial provinces.
